I’ve always been sensitive to scents and rarely buy scented candles—until a friend sent me one from home, quietly planting the seed for this collaboration. Each time I lit it, I felt as if nature itself was washing over me. Mars Serch way of blending botanical notes with soulful storytelling stayed with me, and I knew I wanted to work with this healing perfumer one day.

Early this year, I finally reached out. After a year of shared inspirations, the Petrichor project took shape. The vessel is made from blended French clays and hand-carved to feel like tree bark. It’s glaze—made from winter wood ash and minerals—was fired at 1250°C. Mars Serch said that pouring the wax felt like giving life to a tiny tree, a thought as tender and poetic as the candle itself.
